Welcome
Welcome home
We are a family of people who have found grace, hope and a new life in Jesus Christ. Wherever you come from, there is a place for you here.
Salvation
The gospel preached clearly and warmly in Persian.
We believe that Jesus offers forgiveness and a new beginning to everyone who comes to him. Whatever your past, grace and a fresh start are waiting for you here.
Healing
Prayer, restoration and God’s care for the whole person.
We pray for one another and trust God’s care for body, soul and spirit. In community we find comfort, restoration and hope.
Community
Groups, teaching and friendship throughout the week.
Through the week we gather in groups, for teaching and for shared meals. Here you are not a stranger, but part of a family that walks with you.
Our leaders
Meet Jahan and Nasrin
Persian New Life Ministry is led by pastors and preachers Jahan Binai and Nasrin Afrakhteh.
Jahan and Nasrin have been married for 46 years and have three adult children and four grandchildren. They live in eastern Norway, about 30 minutes from Oslo, and travel regularly to countries across Europe and the Americas. Both come from a Muslim family background and were school principals in Iran. In 1989 they came as political refugees through the UN, first to Turkey and then on to Norway, where they have also worked as teachers. In 1992 they received Jesus. For more than 30 years they have served among Iranians, Afghans, Azerbaijanis and Turks, including Bible translation into Azerbaijani (Wycliffe) and work with Campus Crusade for Christ.
Jahan and Nasrin are often called “mother” and “father” in various churches. Many young people are far from their own parents, or have never known the love of a mother and father. They have had two foster children, been a respite home for children from Afghanistan and Iran in child welfare care, and made mission trips among Iranian refugees in Turkey.
Around the world
Nasrin and Jahan love bringing people together and being a bridge between Persian Christian leaders from all over the world.
Leadership
Our leadership team
Jahan and Nasrin have served the church for more than 30 years.

About the church
A Persian-speaking church with new life
A local church with a global calling.
Persian New Life Ministry is a Persian-speaking church that gathers people of every background around the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have fellowship in Oslo, in Frankfurt and online. Here you will find preaching, worship and prayer in an atmosphere of warmth and respect.
Throughout the week we offer teaching, Bible groups and discipleship, alongside our meetings and services. The goal is simple: that each person would grow in faith and find their place in the family.

Iran at a decisive time
The Bible mentions Persia, today’s Iran, several times in God’s story of salvation. God raised up Cyrus, king of Persia, to set the Jews free from captivity (Ezra 1:2). The Bible also tells of Esther, the queen of Persia, whom God used to save her people. And in the book of Daniel we read about a spiritual battle over Persia (Daniel 10:13).
For 47 years, Christians and many others in Iran have lived under pressure and oppression. Even so, the underground church is growing, and it is a light in the darkness: safe houses where people can gather, medical help, support for poor families, care for women in prostitution and for street children, and work that gives people a livelihood.
Many Iranians in the diaspora have a strong desire to rebuild the country, just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:17). Many Iranians in exile find these days emotionally demanding. Your care and prayers can mean more than you think.
Iran is number 10 on Open Doors’ World Watch List 2026 of the countries where Christians face the most severe persecution.
Pray that the powers of darkness over Iran will fall, for protection of the civilian population in Iran, and for protection of civilians in the Gulf states, Israel, the USA and Western countries.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Be a voice
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Raise awareness of the situation of the people of Iran and the Christians in Iran.
Proverbs 31:8
